2020 Ride of Silence

Bike Baby has been in business for a little over a year. And OH what a year it has been!

Wednesday, May 20, 2020, between 7:00 and 9:00 pm we are sponsoring the global Ride of Silence, which is liken to a funeral procession for injured and killed cyclists. Albeit the foundation has suggested we all ride individually in the face of Covid-19, Bike Baby will still be hosting this ride.

Please arrive at Bike Baby no later than 6:30 if you want to participate. Please wear your helmet, they are required for this event. You will be given a black ribbon to wear on your left sleeve to signify our procession. This is a very serious, somber event. Riders are expected to ride with their heads down in silence to respect and honor the injured and killed.

Your participation signifies to others that you support a cycling community. While it is suggested that we ride up to 12 miles, Bike Baby wants the City of Newberry to see this event, so we will be traveling up and down Main St, College St and Nance St.

Thank you in advance for your participation, and see you Wednesday!
